Bondings
If you have minor gaps, chips, cracks, or discoloration on your teeth, you may be interested in solutions that can help hide these imperfections. One of the best dental solutions to these problems is to give us a call and ask about bondings.
As a respected dental practice in Wilkes Barre, NEPA Dental is proud to offer patients resin dental bonding services. With our years of experience, our dentists are able to correct a variety of minor imperfections, leaving patients with a radiant and healthy smile. The process is simple, painless, and can be accomplished within an hour, allowing you to get back to other important matters faster.
Why Choose Dental Bondings
We use high-quality resin for all of our bondings, which is highly regarded for its durability and aesthetics. The bonding resin we use is designed to match the color of your natural teeth, making it virtually impossible to detect. The material is also very durable and typically has a 3-10 year lifespan. With proper dental care and oral hygiene, however, many people find that their bonding lasts longer than 10 years.
Dental bonding isn’t just an aesthetic solution. Thanks to its durability, dental bonding can also provide your tooth with better protection and prevent minor chips and cracks from becoming even bigger problems later on. This can also help protect surrounding teeth from being damaged as well.
What to Expect
Dental bonding is usually accomplished within one visit and is completed within an hour. However, please take note that your appointment may run longer if you will have several teeth treated. Please allocate at least 40 minutes per tooth. In most cases, anesthesia is not necessary as the process is relatively painless. If you suffer from dental anxiety, please let our dentist know beforehand.
After your procedure, you may be advised to avoid eating certain food for at least 48 hours after the procedure. This is to help give the resin enough time to harden properly. Drinking coffee, tea, and smoking tobacco products are also highly discouraged during this timeframe as they may stain the resin.
